Protect Your Pipes

As temperatures are expected to drop to freezing or below this week, it’s important to prepare your home to prevent frozen pipes and costly damages:

  • Insulate Pipes:  Wrap exposed pipes to keep them warm.
  • Seal Leaks:  Check for drafts near your pipes and seal them to keep the cold air out.
  • Keep the Heat On: Maintain a consistent temperature in your home, even when you’re not there.
  • Let Faucets Drip: A trickle of water can prevent pipes from freezing.
  • Know Your Shut-Off Valve: Most house shut-off valves are located on the outside of your home. Make sure you know how to quickly turn off your water in case a pipe does burst. Do not turn water off at the main water meter. You must contact Si Environmental to have water shut off to water meter.

For Water related Emergencies, contact SI ENVIRONMENTAL at 281-807-9500. 24 hr answering service available.
