HARD FREEZE – HUNTWICK RECREATION FACILITY NOTICE

In advance of the coming hard freeze temperatures on Wednesday, 2/19/2025 that is forecasted to continue through the morning of Friday, 2/21/2025, water has been turned off to the Donut Lake Rec Facilities at 13715 Charwell Crossing Ln. This includes bathrooms, dog park and water drinking fountain. Water will be restored the afternoon of Friday, 2/21/2025 as well as Patron access to bathrooms.

HCWCID 116 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase VI

The District has a sanitary sewer collection system comprised of approximately 68,000 feet of gravity sewer piping ranging in size from 8 inches to 24 inches in diameter and close to 350 manholes. The system is de-signed to collect wastewater from residents and commercial entities and transport it to the wastewater treatment plant. The majority of this system was constructed of reinforced concrete and clay pipe in the 1970s. Concrete pipe can experience aggressive deterioration from the corrosive environment created by the sewer gases. There is also a significant portion of Truss pipe which has deteriorated as well.
